1.) Computer Lab.
The School has two computer laboratories with 25 computers in each lab accessible to students. It has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. The school is equipped with a dedicated broadband Internet connection for enterprising students get a chance to be familiar with the Internet. They do comprehensive research for their projects and presentations.
The department has qualified committed teachers to teach different classes at different levels i.e. Primary, Secondary Sr. Secondary. The faculty members make continuous efforts to see that the students must get expertise in practical implementation of tools they have in their curriculum.
The Information Technology curriculum has been planned in such a way that the students of classes III to VIII will get exposure to various technologies and softwares. In the primary section, the students are trained to use basic softwares like Windows, MS-Office (Ms-Word, MS-Powerpoint, Ms-Excel etc.). The students are assessed on their practical skills over a regular time interval via projects and assignments given to them. In the higher classes the students have an option to learn advanced softwares which are the part of their curriculum. The Students get exposure to the latest Multimedia softwares like FLASH, Photoshop, Image-Ready etc. On the other hand to sharpen their logical and reasoning skills, they learn computer languages like Visual Basic,
2.) Physics Lab..
More than a place in the back of the classroom a laboratory is the place where students learn by doing. Our Physics laboratory provides student enough exposure to the requisite experiments offered for claiming good marks in board exams. Over here we have provided everything for performing procedures, collecting data, analysing data and innovation driven puzzles that drive the thinking of students. While exploring through the gadgets students ought to practice and learn the concepts of Physics which they have mastered during the theory classes. Our Physics laboratory has been designed accustomed to serve more than 100 students at a single time we make it a conducive workplace where our teachers display experiments and students follow and learn. Even we allow student to innovate with their ideas and views to substantiate the progressive learning models in this modern world which which is rather innovation driven. We are encouraged to note that even students feel like to learn by doing and substantiate their understanding about different concepts in Physics. In physics lab particularly we have enough storage to support a large Inventory of requisites equipments and a separate area to display the innovation done by students through different models, chart papers and fixtures prepared by students.
3.) Chemistry Lab..
Gyansthaly Public School offers a wide range of experiments in Chemistry lab together with ensuring the safety and safe keeping of students while performing experiments using rare chemicals. We have been closely keeping up with the guidelines of CBSE and have a well stocked chemistry lab that provides accessibility to all permissible chemicals and latest state of the art equipments to give our students the finest exposure for a better understanding of the subject. Biology lab in our school campus is a place where a child gets closer to the environment and life concepts. We have a good number of specimens and and replica of human body parts such as brain, skeleton, heart, stomach, respiratory system and many more to help a child to explore what he learn in biology. There is something different in our Biology lab setup that other schools just try to focus, it is our 3D simulation videos with fully loaded CBSE content. With ever-growing sources of information technology and audio visual aids we have equipped our Biology lab so as to give a close understanding of concepts in biology together with performing practicals for first hand experience in life sciences. Our Biology lab has been upgraded in 2018 with the help of latest audio visual AIDS that enables our teachers to help our students more intrinsic understanding of learning in life sciences which was not possible to a certain extent earlier. In our School special focus has been kept on creating interest of students by giving them even exposure towards a practical understanding of subjects.
5.) Library..
Gyan Sthaly Public School has a well equipped library. As we all understand that library to be a place as a repository of Information and gives every student equal access to it. Our library includes good number of reference books, story books, number of national newspapers, child journals and magazines.
It is equipped enough to allow students to ask questions about the world and find their answers. The wonderful thing is that once a student learn to use library the doors to learning gets wide open.
6.) Music & Dance..
Music and dance act as catalyst in the process of education. At Gyan Sthaly Public School our music and dance department ensures that all students in primary section are overwhelmingly involved in day to day activities in a way to explore new possibilities.
